Editorial Standards

EC-IFAS is an editorial desk. We publish operational guidance for first-year CDL drivers and OTR rookies with a safety-first posture. This page describes how we decide what to publish, how we label content, and how corrections work.

Scope

  • Pre-trip discipline and routine building
  • Dispatch communication patterns and documentation
  • Appointment awareness, delays, and exception notes
  • Safety decision-making (slow down, re-route, stop)

What we avoid

  • Advice that encourages unsafe driving in difficult conditions
  • Hype claims that cannot be validated
  • Publishing personal data or doxxing
  • “Miracle” earnings narratives without context

Separation of editorial and promotion

If we publish partner-supported material, it is labeled clearly. Sponsorship does not purchase conclusions, rankings, or safety recommendations.

Corrections

If a factual claim is wrong or outdated, we correct it after verification. For meaningful changes, we may note that an update was made.

To request a correction, include:
  • The page URL
  • The sentence or claim to correct
  • Why it’s incorrect
  • Supporting source or documentation (if available)

Ethics and safety posture

We frame safety as a professional constraint, not a suggestion. If a route, weather pattern, or timeline creates unsafe pressure, we recommend conservative decisions and clear documentation.

Inclusion

We write for new drivers from diverse backgrounds. We aim for clarity over jargon and avoid content that shames beginners.

Disclaimer: EC-IFAS content is educational and operational; it does not replace your carrier’s policies, professional training, or legal counsel.
